Postal voting for Elpitiya PS poll gets underway

Postal voting for the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha election got underway today, the Galle Assistant District Returning Officer said

A special security arrangement has been put in place for the election which is to be carried out at 269 centres.

Postal voters who are unable to vote today will be given an additional opportunity on October 4, the Election Commission said.

Elections for the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha are due to be held on October 11.
