Power cuts have been experienced in several areas across the country due to an technical failure that occurred in a transmission tower belonging to the Norochcholai Power Plant today (Mar 1).
Several areas in Colombo have also faced a power outage, a spokesman for the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) said.
The CEB noted that it would take an hour and a half to restore the situation.
