Power failure has been reported in the Ginigathhena area after a tree’s brach had fallen over and damaged an electricity line due to heavy winds today (Jul 19).
It is reported that the electricity line supplying power from the Polpitiya area in Ginigathhena,to the Ginigathhena town had been damaged due to the inclement weather.
Meanwhile, earthslips in the vicinity of the Hatton – Colombo road had also damaged telecommunication cables today. Accordingly, drivers too have been requested to take precaution while using the road.
