Prado jeep and three more vehicles assembled illegally detected

A Prado jeep and three other vehicles illegally assembled here with parts smuggled into the country without paying duty has been detected by the Police in the Gampaha district.

The jeep, a car and two lorries were detected in the Malwathuhiripitiya police area by the Peliyagoda Crimes Division.

One suspect has been arrested.

Forged vehicle papers also had been prepared.

The suspect was due to be produced before a Magistrate.
