President Maithripala Sirisena will address the United Nations (UN) assemply at the UN Headquarters in New York tomorrow. Currently President Sirisena is attending the 70th the United Nations General Assembly sessions. The United Nations General Assembly, comprised of all 193 Members of the United Nations, provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of the full spectrum of international issues covered by the Charter. This year and throughout the 70th session, the delegation of TUVALU will sit at the first desk at the right of the President, and the other countries will follow in the English alphabetical order. Within the space of two hours on Monday (28) morning, Presidents Barack Obama, Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, Hassan Rouhani and François Hollande addressed the general debate of the General Assembly’s seventieth session.
