President approves promotion of 31 Colonels as temporary Brigadiers
President Maithripala Sirisena has approved the promotion of 31 officers from the rank of Colonel to the rank of temporary Brigadier, Army Spokesman Brigadier Sumith Atapattu said.
These promotions will be in effect from July 30, he noted. A gazette notification is to be issued on these promotions in the near future.
