President Maithripala Sirisena assured Sri Lanka Cricket Team members yesterday that he would give maximum support for the improvement of cricket. Cricket Team members and few board members of Sri Lanka Cricket held a meeting with the President at the President’s residence in Colombo.
At this occasion, Minister of Sports, Dayasiri Jayasekara and President of Sri Lanka Cricket, Thilanga Sumathipala mentioned about the victories that have been achieved by the Cricket team of Sri Lanka during the period of last two years. They expressed their appreciation about the support given by President Sirisena to improve Sri Lanka cricket.
President of the Asian Cricket Council Shaharyar M. Khan, the president of Bangladesh Cricket Board Nazmul Hassan and BCB chief executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury and many senior cricket players and their family members joined this occasion.
