President Sirisens a short while ago invited retiring cricket legend Kumar Sangakkara to take over as the Sri Lankan High Commissioner of the United Kingdom, at P. Sara Oval Stadium. The President made the offer while speaking at the farewell ceremony held at the end of the second test match for the cricketing legend. President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and former President Mahinda Rajapaksa are present among the vast crowd felicitating Sangakkara, at P. Sara Oval Stadium in Colombo, today (24).
