President Maithripala Sirisena has said that he would accept the verdict of the Supreme Court irrespective of the outcome.
The President had made this statement while addressing an event held in Polonnaruwa earlier today (Dec 09).
He further said that he would adopt a relevant course of action following the Supreme Court's verdict.
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
The Presidents’ Entitlements (Repeal) Bill was passed by a majority of 150 in parliament today. However the opposition MP’s were absent during the voting.
