President Maithripala Sirisena on Sunday was made to wait for quite some time in his car as the drivers of his convoy had gone for a darshan, Deccan Chronicle reported
On Sunday morning, accompanied by his wife Jayanthi Pushpa Kumari and Son Daham Sirisena, Mr Sirisena visited the temple and, after offering prayers to Lord Venkateswara, he came out, straightaway went to his car and sat inside.
The TTD officials, who noticed the lapse, immediately alerted the temple staff and asked them to alert the drivers.
The drivers reached the convoy and the President left for the guesthouse where he was staying.
An inquiry has been ordered over the management of the convoy, which came from Karnataka, it is learnt, the report claimed. The Sri Lankan President reached Tirumala on Saturday night and had offered prayers during Suprabhata Seva in the early hours of Sunday.
