President Maithripala Sirisena will hold discussions at the Presidential Secretariat today (Dec 24) with relevant officials to discuss about those affected due to the floods in Kilinochchi.
The District Officers of Mullaithivu and Kilinochchi along with state officials will attend the meeting.
Talks at the meeting are expected to focus on the provision of relief along with concessions to those affected due to the calamity. The President's Media Division said that additional emphasis will be drawn towards the farming activites which have been affected due to the floods.
Meanwhile, the Disaster Management Centre said that nearly 45,000 individuals in 13,646 families were affected by the floods in the area.
