President Maithripala Sirisena visited the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Quezon City earlier today (Jan 19).
Taking to his official Twitter handle, the President said that the commitment of the PNP against the usage of illegal drugs was inspiring.
On the same note, President Sirisena said that he hopes to cooperate directly with the movement in a bid to eradicate the menace of illegal drugs in Sri Lanka.
He had also attended a special briefing on the Philippine government's anti-illegal drugs campaign.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
