This year's ballot paper for the presidential election will measure around two feet in length, Election Secretariat Director General Saman Sri Ratnayake said.
A record 35 candidates would be contesting at the upcoming presidential election - the highest number of candidates to contest a Sri Lankan presidential poll
Mr. Ratnayake said that this year's ballot paper is expected to double in size when compared to the ballot paper used in the 2015 presidential poll.
Preparation of the ballot paper will commence today (Oct 8), he said, adding that the the printing of ballot papers are expected to begin next week.
The Presidential election is scheduled to be held on November 16.
