The prices of rice will be increased following the Yala harvesting season from April, Minister of Agriculture P. Harrison said today (Mar 07).
Accordingly, a kilogram of Nadu rice will go up to Rs 40 while a kilo of Samba rice will increase to Rs 43.
A kilogram of Nadu and Samba are currently priced at Rs 38 and Rs 41 respectively.
Minister Harrison while addressing a ceremony today opined that he was dissatisfied over the current prices of rice.
