Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will leave for Hong Kong today to deliver the keynote speech at the ‘The World in 2017’ conference organized by ‘the Economist’ international Magazine.
World’s foremost economists, intellectuals, entrepreneurs, and journalists will take part in the Conference in Hong Kong.
Prime Minister will be accompanied by the Prof. Maithri Wickremesinghe, Sri Lankan Ambassador in China Dr. Karunasena Kodithuwakku, Additional Secretary to the Prime Minister Saman Athawudahetti, and the Special Assistant Sandra Perera, the government news portal reported.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
