Prime Minister's Secretary Saman Ekanayake has been asked to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing state sector corruption tomorrow (Oct 22).
He is due to give evidence over a complaint filed against the storage of paddy at the Mattala International Airport.
Former Paddy Marketing Board Chairman M. Bandara who gave evidence last week, told the Commission that 4000 metric tonnes of paddy had been stored at the Mattala Airport upon receiving cabinet approval.
He alleged that Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe through a telephone call, had advised him to carry out the process.
