Priority bus lane will be open for vans and buses that transport school children too, in addition to the passenger buses, from tomorrow (September 6) with the beginning of the next school term, says Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development.
The bus project is currently in operation in few selected lanes and it was initially allowed for the use of buses only.
The first phase of the Priority bus lane project was implemented on August 15 from Moratuwa, Cross junction to Katubedda and from Savoy Cinema to Bambalapitiya Junction on Galle Road which was later expanded to other areas.
