The Prisons Department has submitted a report on Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Ven Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero to the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (May 21).
The report which contained details on the Thero's imprisonment term and remarks on his discipline while in prison had been submitted as per the instructions issued by the Presidential Secretariat.
It is reported that a copy of the report has been sent to the Ministry of Justice and Prisons Reforms.
The BBS General Secretary was sentenced to 19 years of imprisonment to be completed in six years after he was found guilty of four charges including contempt of court on August 8 last year.
