Professor Kathirgamanathan Kandasamy is expected to be appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of the Jaffna University, the University's Management said yesterday (May 07).
The appointment is expected to be made after President Maithripala Sirisena had ordered the removal of Professor Ratnam Vigneswaran from the post of Vice Chancellor.
Prof. Kandasamy is expected to serve for three months and have authorization for all the matters related to the university.
He has been a part of the university’s Physics Department, and has made numerous contributions by means of researches to the study of Physics.
