A proposal to summon former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's secretary and five other state officials before three parliamentary committees has been submitted to the Speaker and Secretary General of Parliament, MP Patali Champika Ranawaka said.
MP Ranawaka added that the proposal was submitted since these officials had dealt with financial matters while ignoring the Parliament and the Supreme Court's interim injunction.
Accordingly, the proposal urged the summoning of state officials from the Finance Ministry, Mr. Rajapaksa's office, and a few other ministries before the Parliamentary priviledges committee, Financial Committee and the General Audit commitee.
