Protest in Karadiyana over dumping of garbage
A group of area residents are protesting against the move to temporarily dump garbage collected in Colombo at Karadiyana.
Several lorries which were attempting to bring garbage to the dumping site have been blocked and turned back by the protestors.
Earlier, the Kesbewa Magistrate issued a court order to temporarily dump garbage collected in Colombo at Karadiyana.
A tense situation currently prevails in the area.
