The public has been instructed to refrain from parking vehicles in the vicinity of all schools from 1 pm on Monday, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said.
This is due to the heavy security arrangements that will be in operation as schools will reopen for their second terms next week, he said.
Meanwhile, special parking slots will be demarcated for vehicles which transport school students, the Spokesman pointed out. He added that these slots will be notified to the public by today.
