Pujith, Hemasiri further remanded until Dec 17
IGP Pujith Jayasundara and former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando have been further remanded until December 17 on orders of the Colombo Magistrate's Court.
They have been accused of failing to prevent the Easter Sunday attacks despite receiving intelligence warnings.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today (Dec 3) informed Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage that statements are to be recorded from 10 police officers over the case.

Disregard tax payment requests if income is less: State Minister
Individuals who have obtained a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) yet do not meet the cutoff, can choose to remain tax exempt after notifying the IRD in writing, provided that their monthly income does not surpass the threshold, according to the State Minister of Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya.
