Non- Cabinet Minister V. Radhakrishnan has said that he would resign from his portfolio if the daily wage of plantation workers is not increased upto Rs 1000.
Addressing a public rally in Nuwara Eliya yesterday (Feb 07), the Non-Cabinet Minister for Development of Special Regions added that he was not in agreement with the recent wage increase of Rs 750.
He also emphasised that the government should take measures to provide the wage of Rs 1000 as requested by plantation workers.
