Rail services along the Maradana railway line have been restored after a train derailed yesterday (Apr 17).
However, rail services between Polgahawela and Alawwa continue to be halted due to ongoing repairs along the rail track in Polgahawela.
The Polgahawela rail track had been damaged due to the derailing of another train yesterday.
Meanwhile, the Railway Control Room said that train delays will not be experienced owing to few trains operating today.
