UNP parliamentarian Palitha Range Bandara has provided evidence before the Commission to Investigate Acts of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) with regard to financial bribes being promised for MPs to cross over.
MP Bandara made these remarks after making a statement before the CIABOC in connection with the phone call conversations he had where he was offered a hefty bribe to shift camps.
The relevant details and audio recordings of all phone calls including those of the President have been submitted to the CIABOC, he told reporters after visiting the Commission.
Mr. Bandara added that he had urged the CIABOC to enforce the law on all individuals who had tried to lure parliamentarians by means of financial inducements to cross over.
