United National Party (UNP) leader Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe extended his appreciation to those who supported the maiden rally of Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa today (Oct 10).
Issuing a statement, Mr. Wickremesinghe also thanked all party members, parliamentarians, ministers, and electoral organizers who had organized the rally at the Galle Face Green in Colombo.
"This (rally) is a result of a collective effort," the UNP leader said in his statement.
He called on all supporters to retain the same enthusiasm and support towards their Presidential candidate until his victory.
Premadasa will represent the UNP-led New Democratic Front at the upcoming presidential election.
