Leader of the UNP, Ranil Wickremesinghe´s security detail has been slashed by orders of the IGP Pujith Jayasundara.
IGP Jayasundera issued instructions to provide only 10 security officers to Wickremesinghe and remove the remaining officers.
It is reported that the order has come to the IGP from the President and he has been instructed to implement the order with immediate effect.
State Minister Harsha De Silva took to Twitter to say the Prime Minister´s life is under threat and published the order informing relevant Police divisions on the steps to be taken to reduce Wickremesinghe’s security on the basis that Wickremesinghe is no more the Prime Minister
