State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake, who first sat for his G C E Advanced Level examinations in 1981, attempted the exam for the second time, after 38 years today (Aug 5).
International media reported that the state minister had hired private tutors for his study sessions at home as he prepared himself to face the exams. He had stated that he had been able to only pass a single subject at the A/L exams during his first attempt.
State Minister Ramanayake had said that he hopes to enter Law College after passing his A/L exams to fulfill his ambition of becoming a lawyer.
