Speaker Karu Jayasuriya today (23) denied media reports claiming that MP Ranjan Ramanayake had submitted a section of his phone recordings to be tabled in Parliament.
Reading out an announcement by the Speaker, Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri told Parliament that no such recordings had been tabled in Parliament up until this morning.
Speaking in Parliament yesterday, Mr Ramanayake stated that he would submit a section of his recordings by 6.00pm last evening to be tabled. It was later reported that some 15, 000 recordings belonging to Mr Ramanayake had been submitted to Parliament.
