Inspector of Police Kapila Nishantha who was arrested over the abduction of two businessmen in Rathgama has been remanded until February 27.
The remand order was issued when he was produced before court today (Feb 19).
Mr. Nishantha who was sserving as the Police Inspector of the Special Investigations Unit (Southern Province) was arrested yesterday.
The CID is carrying out investigations into the abduction of the businessmen upon the directives of IGP Pujith Jayasundara.
