Aviation and Export Zones Development State Minister D. V. Chanaka yesterday (31) visited Colombo International Airport in Ratmalana to check on its development plan and to meet up with Airport and Aviation Services officials.
At the meeting attended by Chairman Major General (Rtd) G. A. Chandrasiri and Ratmalana Airport Manager Aruna Rajapaksha, agreements were signed with Asia Aviation Centre flight training institute and Aura Aviation for the next three years.
The long-term plans drawn up to develop Sri Lanka’s oldest airport to an international airport and the tactical support it can provide to develop tourism, especially with the Colombo Port City Project coming up were discussed at the meeting.
