A close ally of underworld member 'Ratmalane Anju' has been found murdered in Piliyandala.
The victim has been idenitifed as 25-year old Sumudu Seneviratne.
Police have discovered the bike and the mobile phone of the victim beside his body.
The cause for the murder is suspected to have been a scuffle which broke out between two underworld groups.
'Ratmalane Anju', who is residing overseas has been allegedly linked to the murder of Sri Lankan cricketer Dhananjaya de Silva's father last year.
Former Speaker and NPP MP Asoka Ranwala was arrested today following a road accident in the Denimulla area of Sapugaskanda last night, police said.
