A six-member committee appointed to recommend qualified professionals to lead state institutions and its director boards has handed over its recommendations to the Presidential Secretariat.
Dr Nalaka Godahewa, a member of the committee, said the list of names had been submitted in keeping with its mandate to do so before December 31.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, last month, appointed the special committee, directing it to recommend qualified professionals for higher positions in state-owned commercial enterprises, State institutions, and public enterprises.
The committee headed by Sumith Abeysinghe also comprised Susantha Ratnayake, Dian Gomes, Dr. Prasanna Gunasena and Jagath Wellawatte.
