Another relief package for small and medium scale entrepreneurs is to be announced shortly, State Minister of Development Banks and Loan Schemes, Shehan Semasinghe told Times online.
He said that Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa in consultation with the Central Bank and state banks will announce the scheme with two weeks.
He said tax concessions and facilities for the export market are among the relief measures to be announced.
Mr Semasinghe said that the small and medium scale entrepreneurs are currently caught up in a debt trap and the objective is to provide relief to them.
He said that, meanwhile an assessment is underway regarding loans obtained by the farmers to consider a relief system for them.
