The Beruwala Pradeshiya Sabha along with its Divisional Secretariat and the Grama Niladhari division have taken immediate measures to provide relief to those affected due to the prevailing drought conditions.
Chairman of the Beruwala Pradeshiya Sabha, Menaka Vimalaratne says that the Beruwala Pradeshiya Sabha and the Beruwala Divisional Secretariat dispatched between 30 to 68 water bowsers respectively to provide clean drinking water to residents of the area.
He further added that the public water wells are also being cleaned up in order to provide clean drinking water to the affected residents.
