A report on the proposed 20th Amendment prepared by a nine member committee appointed by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa due to be presented to the Cabinet today was not presented to the cabinet, Minister Mahinda Amaraweera told journalists.
He said President Gotabaya Rajapaksa told the cabinet meeting that he would be taking the responsibility of the 20th Amendment.
Earlier on Monday members of the Committee met to review the proposed Amendment.
Minister Wimal Weerawasna told reporters that the report prepared by them was to be presented at the cabinet this week.
