The report on the remarks made by State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake over the alleged allegations of consumption of cocaine by parliamentarians and ministers was submitted to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday (Feb 25).
A copy of the report would be submitted to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in due course, Chairman of the committee Lakshman Kiriella said.
The committee was appointed during a United National Party (UNP) parliamentarians meeting following the remarks made by Mr. Ramanayake.
The State Minister appeared before the committee and provided a statement concerning his remarks last Friday.
