Restoration work at the St. Sebastian's Church in Katuwapitiya which was destroyed during the Easter Sunday explosions will commence today (May 03).
The Ministry of Housing and Construction along with the State Engineering Corporation will engage in refurbishment activities, Ministry Secretary Bernard Wasantha said.
Restoration of the St. Anthony's Church in Kotahena is already being carried out by the State Engineering Corporation and the Navy.
Plans have been made to commence repair work at the Zeon Church in Batticaloa which was also destroyed during the blasts. According to the Housing and Construction Ministry, the Army along with the State Development and Construction Corporation will engage in restoration work at the Zeon Church.
