The monthly revision of fuel prices is set to take place today (Aug 13), the Finance Ministry said.
Prices of fuel are revised on the 10th of every month in keeping with the fuel price formula introduced by the government last year.
However, the price revision had been delayed since the 10th had fallen on a Saturday and the consequent two days were public holidays.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
