The Ruhunu Kumari train has collided with a vehicle at a railway crossing at Abeygunawardana Road in Matara.
It is reported that the driver of the vehicle had ignored the warning lights and attempted to cross the level crossing resulting in the death of one individual and injuring two others.
According to Police the accident took place around 6.50a.m. today (March 13). The wounded have been admitted to the Matara hospital.
