UNP MP Sajith Premadasa speaking to reporters following today's parliamentary session said that "democracy prevailed" today.
He added the the members of the new-government tried to disrupt the proceedings thereby attempting to destroy democracy once again.
MP Premadasa lauded the Speaker's decision to request for a floor test on the matter while also suspending standing orders in the House.
