Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa today (Oct 9) pledged to strengthen freedom in the country.
Addressing a meeting of the Civil Society and Trade Unions Collective in Colombo, the New Democratic Front candidate stressed that the country should not be allowed to enter an era deprived of freedom.
Premadasa, had stressed that the freedom provided by the current government will be established and strengthened during his rule.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Ministers Mano Ganesan and Rajitha Senaratne, New Left Front leader Wickramabagu Karunaratne were among those who attended the event.
