Sampath Abeykoon appointed as new President of High Court Judges' Association
High Court judge Sampath Abeykoon was appointed as the President of the High Court Judges' Association for 2019/2020 during its Annual General Meeting today (Aug 10).
The AGM was held under the patronage of Association President S.U.B. Karalliyadda and Secretary Manjula Thilakaratne at the premises of the Colombo High Court.
A new executive board was appointed during the event. Among them were Shashi Mahendran - Vice President, Aditya Patabendige - Secretary, Sujeewa Nishshanka - Assistant Secretary, Mohamed Irshadeen - Treasurer, and Navaratna Marasinghe - Editor.
Meanwhile, a committee of 10 members too had been appointed during the AGM.
