Sandya Eknaligoda, the wife of missing journalist Prageeth Eknelygoda, has objected to the granting of a Presidential pardon for Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Gnanasara Thero.
She made this request via a letter addressed to the Attorney General and the Justice Minister this afternoon.
Ms. Eknaligoda, in the letter had stated that it would be an injustice to herself as the aggrieved party, the Magistrate, and the other lawyers in the country, if the Thero was released on bail.
Further, she had also said that she would address a letter to the President expressing similar sentiments.
