A Sathyagraha was held opposite the Colombo Fort Railway Station yesterday calling for the release of Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) General Secretary Ven. Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera.
A large number of Buddhist monks and lay persons took part in the Sathyagraha.
Ganasara Thera is currently serving a six month prison sentence after being found guilty by the Homagama Magistrate's Court of threatening Sandya Ekneligoda, wife of missing journalist Prageeth Ekneligoda, at the Homagama Magistrate’s Court premises. His lawyers have appealed the verdict.
