The Health Ministry has decided to strengthen security at hospitals following today's blasts across the country.
Accordingly, vistors will be subjected to special security checks prior to visiting patients during visiting hours. Doctors and staff members of state hospitals will also be subjected to special checks.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has decided to bear the cost of treatment at private hospitals of patients admitted owing to today's series of tragic incidents.
This decision was conveyed to the owners of private hospitals by Health Minister (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne during a special discussion this afternoon.
