Every arrangement has been made to celebrate 67th Independence Day; Sri Lanka’s colorful moment of pride and dignity, recalls the freedom from colonizers. The Independence Day parade will take place at the Sri Jayewardenepura Parliament grounds tomorrow , headed by President Maithripala Sirisena. Members of the clergy, Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe, Speaker, Ministers, State Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Tri-service Commanders, Inspector General of Police and a vast gathering of distinguished invitees, including diplomats, state officials and members of the public are scheduled to take part in the ceremonies at Battaramulla. A total of about 5500 tri-service personnel, members of the Civil Defence Force and Policemen, followed by cultural bands of school children are expected to join the parade and salute the President during this historic commemorative ceremony.
