Seven suspects including the son of parliamentarian Mahindananda Aluthgamage have been remanded until tomorrow (Feb 26) for failing to meet the bail requirements.
The order was issued by Additional Magistrate Isuru Netticumara when the suspects were produced before courts over the hit and run accident which left a Police Officer critically injured.
The driver of the defender jeep who was involved in the accident has been remanded until March 11 while the other suspects were ordered to be released on bail.
However, court had decided to remand the suspects until tomorrow as they failed to meet the bail requirements.
