The Department of Fisheries has warned crews of multi-day fishing trawlers not to venture out into the Bay of Bengal or the Eastern seas from today (8) until October 15.
The department warned that heavy rain, strong winds and rough seas will be experienced in these areas starting from today.
One-day fishing vessels can still go out as they don't venture far out to sea, the department added.
